Welcome Lindsey Herzig!

RSU 9 is committed to help new teaching professionals grow and develop. We have a long-standing relationship with the University of Maine at Farmington and will be welcoming six student teachers into our schools for the fall semester.

Please help us welcome Lindsey Herzig! Ms. Herzig is an Early Childhood Education Major pursuing a dual certification in teaching ages 0-5 and K-third grade. She lives in Southern Maine but resides in Farmington during the school year, where she enjoys listening to music, singing, and cooking. Ms. Herzig’s favorite subjects to teach include linguistics and literacy. Her main goal is to find ways to work collaboratively with students, as she believes adults can learn just as much from children as children can from adults. Ms. Herzig will be working in Pamela Brooks' second grade classroom at Academy Hill School.
